- Hormonal imbalance- When the levels of one or more hormones are imbalanced, it causes problems like Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
- Infection β Bacterial and yeast infections cause vaginal issues. Untreated sexually transmitted infections like HPV can cause pelvic inflammatory disease, which results in infertility.
- Genetics- Some genetic factors can cause ovarian cancer.
- Lifestyle factors- Lifestyle factors like stress, poor hygiene, bad diet, and weight

Diagnosis of a gynecological disorder is different in the case of different disorders. The most common methods include questioning, physical examinations, imaging, and lab tests. The health care providers will ask questions before recommending any tests. The questions will be related to the symptoms, menstrual cycle, medical history, and family medical history.
